clifton inn wedding: nichole+jason's album

december, how could it be? it's been such a busy fall, which hasn't left much time for blogging! we've been on the go... from our last wedding of the season on november 17th, to many family sessions & several engagement sessions {its engagement season, after all!}. we've been filling numerous print and christmas card orders and designing wedding albums nonstop. it has been a whirlwind around here!

 and speaking of albums, nichole and jason's gorgeous album arrived just in time for me to ship to them before thanksgiving so they could share it with their families and before the arrival of their first baby due any day now! from the words of nichole: "wow, elizabeth the album brought tears to my eyes and that's not just the hormones! we love it!" so, i will leave it at that and let the images do the rest of the talking.

little by little the blog posts will be making a comeback.  weddings from far back as july up to my most recent in november and the many many portrait sessions and numerous projects in between! stay tuned :-)

nichole and jason were so wonderful to work with! in the months leading up to their wedding, i was able to get back up to charlottesville to meet with them twice.  first we met for a consultation & walk through at their venue and then a few months later for their engagement session with their furry children in their new home, which was so much fun. 

the wedding celebration was held among close family and friends of nichole & jason's at one of my favorite charlottesville venues, the lovely historic clifton inn. the beautiful outdoor garden ceremony took place on the croquet lawn, champagne was served on the terrace afterwards, and immediately following a dinner party reception took place on the sun porch which offered amazing views of the sunset over the blue ridge mountains. i loved how intimate the setting was for their reception. long tables were arranged the entire length of the porch with simple, yet elegant floral arrangements placed on them. this allowed the guests to mingle with one another throughout the evening.  what a sweet wedding!

charlottesville portrait photographer: nichole+jason's engagement

a few weeks ago i got together with nichole and jason for their engagement session at their new home in the countryside near charlottesville. its always fun when the pets get involved too.  sweet but shy tucker, their dog, joined in for a few shots with a little persuading and some treats. benjamin, their big orange cat, didn't want to be left out either so he joined in on the fun {and treats!} too. i just loved his sweet face and what a great personality he had. there's something about an orange kitty that wins me over every time. this coming weekend, we'll be joining nichole and jason at the beautiful clifton inn for their wedding!
