Joe, Meredith, Baby A, + Grandparents: At Home Family Session

Earlier this winter I had the absolute pleasure of photographing one of my former wedding couples, Joe and Meredith, their 6 month old daughter Baby A, and her grandparents.  We met in the client's home for a 2 part session, which means we scheduled an hour session on one day and I came back for another hour session a week or so later.

Baby A is such a sweetheart and 6 months is such a cute age. She was just starting to sit up & was all smiles. What a sweet baby girl and I absolutely adore her parents! It was nice to see Meredith's mother and father again too.  They are such good people & welcomed me into their home.

Joe & Meredith's wedding can be viewed here and we also did their engagement session a month or so before their wedding.  Its been wonderful capturing so many of this family's important memories and we are already planning another session around Baby A's 1st birthday in August.  I've enjoyed being back in touch with Meredith and Joe and hope that we continue to do so!

A High Point Family Session - Bob, Elizabeth, + Children

At last, I can share these from Bob & Elizabeth's family session!  I had to wait until after Christmas as they were giving many as gifts to their family!  We got together last month on a beautiful fall afternoon in their neighborhood for their session.  Joining us was their newborn Bea (she's two months old now!) and her two older siblings, Sierra & Joey, who were such great sports and a big help with their little sister. I've known Bob & Elizabeth for several years now and they are such good people.  Ever since learning that they were expecting, I've been so excited for them! Bea is so precious & such a pretty baby girl. the day of the session was my first time meeting her. Each time I see her, she's grown some more! I look forward to more opportunities photographing Bea & her family again.   I am so grateful for clients and friends such as Bob & Elizabeth - they were a joy to work with and just so appreciative.

Toni + Bill - An Intimate Winmock Wedding

Toni & Bill's sweet intimate wedding was the last of 2016 for us and what a fabulous way to close out the season! Their combined five children were the only guests in attendance. It was a gorgeous late November afternoon & one of the last really warm days we've had.  Patricia Tadlock officiated the ceremony outside on the patio, with Toni & Bill surrounded in a circle by their children.  Toni walked in to Enya's "China Rose" and after their vows were said, the rings exchanged, & finally the kiss these two danced to their song - Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey".

We spent some time photographing the newlyweds with their children immediately following the ceremony and we had fun with these! Then with Toni and Bill together walking around the property - Winmock has some great locations for photos and the fall color was on point then.  Lucky to have peak later in the year, adding some nice color to their photographs!

So many things made their wedding special. Everyone worked together to make their day fantastic. Toni searched high and low for a wedding dress and finally found the one at Songbird's. Bill chose to wear a vest with dress shirt and pants & cufflinks which Toni gave to him as a wedding gift. Toni's oldest daughter did her hair and makeup. And Toni made all of the bouquets and boutineers by purchasing the flowers at a local Trader Joe's & the ribbon at a craft store.

Terry, my partner, came along to assist me and to help out with the music. Terry introduced Bill to me about 6 years ago and then we both met Toni a few years later when these two starting dating one another. I was so excited when Toni and Bill became engaged last summer, soon after contacting me about photographing their wedding!  We were honored to be included in their very special day.

Toni & Bill celebrated their marriage by taking their children out for a late lunch that afternoon at The Village Tavern over in Winston-Salem.  Then just the two of them departed for the mountains honeymooning in a precious tiny log cabin located in Hot Springs, NC. They took daily trips and hikes to places such as Max Patch Bald while there - such a beautiful area of North Carolina & the perfect place to spend a honeymoon. Congrats Toni & Bill!
