last month, i met up with meredith & joe at pilot mountain state park. they chose the park for their engagement session as they spent many of their earlier dates getting to know one another at this very location. its such a beautiful place - so quiet and peaceful.
when we arrived early that morning, we were the only people there other than the park rangers & groundskeepers. we were glad to be there early also because it was much cooler when we started out! we hiked a few of the trails to find some of the best views & even found a field of wildflowers. the sun wasn't in the right spot to show the knob of pilot mountain, unfortunately. however i suggested an anniversary/family session in the future in the early evening when the sun will be on the other {correct!} side!
this coming saturday, meredith and joe will be married at tanglewood manor in clemmons, nc. ever since i met this super sweet couple, i've been really looking forward to their big day! it may be my birthday on saturday, but to me that means i get to eat cake twice - wedding cake AND birthday cake!
