memorial day weekends are always popular for weddings! for kristin and don, there's was a destination wedding as they traveled to north carolina from their home in new jersey. the JH adams inn, located in the historic district in high point, made perfect sense to them as it was a central place for their families and friends to gather together and celebrate the holiday and wedding weekend.
since planning their wedding from afar, kristin and don came down this past december for a couple of days to stay at the inn and meet with all of their wedding vendors. i suggested we get together for an engagement session and happy they agreeded! we were very grateful the weather held out and it wasn't too cold. just a few days later, on Christmas day, it snowed 8" and then we had one of the coldest winters on record! after the e-session, i just knew they would be IN to the photography for the day of their wedding too. a session is always a fabulous way to get to know one another in a casual, relaxing environment prior to the wedding. we highly recommend it!
and speaking of photography, when don's two groomsmen told us they were BOTH wedding photographers, lisa and i were both thinking "oh boy, the pressure is on" however they were so laid back and super fun. they had a blast when it came time to do the wedding party session {the men holding the women's bouquets tells all!}. what a lively group of people... still smiling!
my super assistant lisa and i really enjoyed teaming up once again, for yet another lovely wedding with such a enjoyable couple!
