december 21st, the first day of winter solstice, turned out to be a relatively "balmy" day in the low 40's and a perfect day for an engagement session. don and kristin made a trip down from new jersey a few days before christmas to meet with all of their wedding vendors. they stayed at the JH adams inn in high point, where they'll be having their destination wedding next may. we took advantage of the festive christmas decorations at the inn and the beautiful italian renaissance architecture for photo ops, as well as the historic train station located downtown just a few blocks away. i enjoyed meeting kristin and don for the first time and look forward to seeing them this spring at their wedding!
