i met up with natalie and fred in late may for their engagement session at the gorgeous norfolk botanical garden in virginia. its been too many years to mention the last time i'd been to the gardens, however my memory served me well this time! its not only a beautiful place, its a pretty special place as well. it was one of the many places my grandfather enjoyed who was a longtime resident of norfolk.
natalie and fred were so much fun and up for plenty of photo ops and had some great ideas of their own. we took full advantage of the scenery and spent a good two hours together, making our way through the gardens. it was enjoyable getting to know them as a couple, how they met, and became engaged.
natalie is originally from brazil, and one of the birthday traditions in that country is to serve chocolates called brigadeiro. so when fred proposed to natalie, he made brigadeiro and hid the engagement ring in with the chocolates. talk about a sweet surprise! they brought some along for their e-session and shared with me and they ARE delicious. wow!
