its unbelievable that may has already come and gone and that we documented so many amazing weddings last month. lauren and todd's was the second out of four and what a wonderful day it was!
you may remember lauren and todd from their e-session last summer. i've known this couple for about four years now, as they were my former neighbors. before they moved to their new home two summers ago, they invited me over for a cookout one evening. lauren just happened to mention if a wedding was in the future, i'd be hearing from them. so when they did become engaged last winter, i got the phone call i knew would come someday {and i was thrilled to have their date available}!!
the day preparing for their wedding was a lot of fun. i went to the church early on to take some shots long before the rain came, then over to the hayloft where their evening reception was going to be held for some interior and exterior shots of this fabulous restored 1940's dairy barn. my last stop was at three oaks farm, to see my friend jane putting together the fresh flowers she selected from the farmer's market, wholesale nurseries, as well as her own garden. and then i made my way back to the chapel in time for the late afternoon ceremony held at their church, which is located out in the beautiful countryside not too far from my home.
the reception afterwards at the hayloft had such a rustic feel to it, which suited the couple perfectly! the scrumptious buffet style meal was delicious, they had a wonderful band, and i personally enjoyed the cupcakes very much. i simply loved how the lemonade, sweet tea, beer, or wine was served in mason jars! the wildflowers were also placed in mason jars alongside tea lights and twinkling white lights. guests were treated to gourmet chocolates in the shape of dog bones, courtesy of lauren, todd, and their sweet pups.
we really loved being a part of this wedding, we felt like family! i received the sweetest email from lauren earlier this week thanking us for making their day extra special. the newlyweds are back from their honeymoon in mexico, settling in their home with their menagerie of critters ♥

Your photos are wonderful! I love the old barn, the look of all the flowers in the mason jars, & the polk-a-dot cupcakes.
