a wedding on the farm: anna+bleu

anna and bleu had a intimate gathering of family, friends (and critters!) for their may 24th wedding ceremony. they wed on the grounds of anna's family farm in rockingham county, nc. anna and bleu chose to wed outdoors in a field down by a pond--- such a beautiful setting for their nuptials. i had a wonderful time capturing their day... it felt like i was part of the family. after the ceremony, the happy couple hosted a party at their new home... i truly had a super fun time!

anna and i met several months ago, as we both had our work exhibited in a group photography show at The Gallery located in the arts district of downtown reidsville. when we met she just happened to be newly engaged and was ISO of a photographer to shoot her wedding. what great timing!

anna is an aspiring photographer herself. she has an amazing eye. her creativity not only shows in her photography, but also in the attention to detail while planning out her own wedding. it has been a pleasure getting to know anna over the past few months. once she returns from her honeymoon and gets settled into her new home, she will be helping me out during the busy wedding season with various projects... editing, album design, a second pair of 'creative eyes', and occasionally assisting when needed. i am looking forward to working with her! (she may even have to edit her own wedding-- tee he! only kidding!)

congrats you two! have a wonderful life together and best wishes! xoxo elizabeth :-)

the happy groom, bleu!

what a fun idea! the guests arrive by way of a hay ride...

i'm so thrilled anna's dad convinced her to ride her horse "buck" in her wedding dress to the ceremony site - its a new way for a father to "walk her daughter down the aisle"!

i love how the dogs joined in for the family portraits!
