Elizabeth + Travis - Castle McCulloch Wedding

Elizabeth & Travis were such a sweet down-to-earth couple. Although they were planning their wedding from the Raleigh area, I was able to meet them before their wedding when we scheduled their engagement session in Greensboro several months before their big day.  I enjoyed getting to know them & they were such a delight to work with.

Elizabeth & Travis's morning ceremony was held in the Great Hall at Castle McCulloch, followed by a brunch reception in the Queens Chambers. Complete with a waffle bar, an omelette station, two types of quiches, cinnamon buns, fresh fruits, & so much more, the food was not only amazing, the presentation was pleasing to the eye. It was quite the spread! Travis is a chef at a venue in the Triangle, so the food was very important to them.

With their wedding being in December, the crystal centerpieces and the white & silver table cloths with accents of sapphire truly made it into a winter wonderland celebration. I loved their cake with the "quilted design" fondant too.  Luckily the weather cooperated & it was actually pretty mild for a day in December.  We were grateful to be able to go outside for photos of Elizabeth & Travis together. The Castle is such a unique place for a wedding anytime of year!

Elizabeth & Travis had such a magical day and we so enjoyed being a part of it. And to say that the world is really small - I found out just before their wedding, that Elizabeth works with my second cousin's wife at a veterinary clinic - and I photographed their wedding years ago in Charlottesville, VA. What are the odds?  I find this happens more and more lately. Its such a small world!

Please stay tuned for two more December 2014 weddings coming up soon, as well as several more recent fall sessions here at Elizabeth Larson Photography!  Someday we will get caught up all of our 2015 weddings too - stay tuned!
