Beth + Bryan - Engagement Session - Atalaya + Huntington Beach State Park

Last month, I met with Beth and Bryan at Huntington Beach State Park in coastal South Carolina for their engagement session.  It was such a beautiful fall day - the perfect afternoon to spend at the beach. We started off at Atalaya, which is on the grounds of this beautiful state park.  Atalaya was built in  1931 & was the summer home of the Huntington family who also founded Brookgreen Gardens.

Beth & Bryan changed into more casual attire and from there, we headed over to another location within the park.  A pier takes you out over the salt marshes & tidal pools and offers gorgeous 360 degree views.  We took advantage of the warm late afternoon light, as the sun started to set. We couldn't of asked for a prettier day - fall at the beach is the best!

After months of planning their wedding from afar, it was finally great to meet Beth & Bryan for the first time. With Beth away at pharmacy school in Columbia, Bryan living in their hometown, and me four hours away in North Carolina, we were thrilled we could all agree on a date for their session and even more thrilled that Mother Nature cooperated that day! I sure look forward to their upcoming wedding this spring in Loris, SC,  their hometown.
