liz + phillip - winston-salem wedding

Although Liz & Phillip no longer reside in Winston-Salem, they met while they were both students at Wake Forest University. It was only fitting that they returned to the city where their relationship and love for one another grew. The couple chose to get married in the church they both attended and where Phillip's father had once been the pastor. His father, Pastor Odom, returned to join Pastor Wallover in officiating Liz & Phillip's ceremony.

After the ceremony we took a handful of photos of the family and wedding party photos at the church, as its absolutely beautiful - the stained glass is amazing! Then we headed over to Old Salem where the timber pedestrian covered bridge is located for the remaining wedding party & couple photos, before they were all introduced to their guests.

Gray Auditorium at the Old Salem Museum is where the reception was held & it is where they have the oldest & largest known Tannenberg Organ on display in America.  This location for a wedding or event is the best kept secret!  DJ Paul Cordts was amazing to work with - professional, organized, he knows what keeps the guests entertained and out on the dance floor. The caterers were awesome too, not to mention the cuisine was fabulous! Jenny & I absolutely loved the dessert table of all of the couple's favorites. Some were homemade, while others were favorites snacks the couple both enjoy. I never did learn who made the beautiful wedding cake, but I think I overhead a family friend.

At the end of the evening, Liz and Phillip exited through the covered bridge & coming out on the other side in a display of sparklers.  It was a magical day filled with joy & love!
