greensboro wedding photographer: kelly+brandon 07.02.11

you may remember kelly, brandon, and their daughter valerie from their engagement session earlier this summer.  they were married on july 2nd in a beautiful ceremony at our lady of grace catholic church in greensboro and the reception was held close by at the proximity hotel.

the proximity hotel is known to be one of the greenest most eco-friendly hotels in america. and its a new favorite venue without a doubt! the natural light coming in from outdoors is simply gorgeous throughout, which made for such lovely images. considering how hot and humid it was the day of their wedding, we were grateful to bring the outdoors in!

the reception was held in the weaver room and terrace. kelly planned the entire menu herself as she is one of the event chefs at the proximity's restaurant, print works bistro.  she made sure i got to try some of the cuisine and it was delish!  i know she found it difficult to stay out of the kitchen that day, so she could enjoy herself. they truly did have a fun time and their friend mike, the dj, had many of the guests out on the dance floor the entire time.

i want to give special thanks to my super fabulous assistant lisa, as this was the last wedding we documented together before she departed on her year long journey teaching children english as a second language in korea.  its truly been a wonderful three seasons of working together at so many fabulous weddings. she is missed and i admit i am hopeful she returns in a year!
