though this family session took place this past october {as you can see from the fall color!}, i waited until now to post the photos to the blog as many were given as christmas gifts and we didn't want to spoil the surprise!
in addition, i wanted everyone to start thinking that now is the time to schedule YOUR engagement/couples, family, child, or baby's session. the weather is just starting to warm up, the flowers are blooming, and dates are starting to fill up in april, may, and much of june {in particular, weekend dates}! please contact me for details, rates, and availability.
i had a blast following around mariah, ed, and their sweet pup-pup, morgan with my camera the day of their session. they live on the outskirts of richmond near a beautiful lake with trails that meander around it. we also ended up back at their house later in the day for some front porch photo ops and a glass of wine. it was a glorious warm afternoon, we couldn't of picked a better day! and morgan was a real trooper {i think her favorite part of the day was going out for a walk!}. we only wished that their two kitties would've cooperated for the camera.... cats!
mariah is my second cousin and i hadn't seen them since her brother's wedding over two years ago in florida {which i photographed} and it was great to reconnect with them again. and what is even more exciting is that mariah and ed are in the process of adopting a baby {i remember when mariah was a newborn, herself!}. they were in need of some professional portraits for their adoption portfolio as well as a christmas card photo and gifts to give to their families.
i love creating a lifetime of memories with photographs for so many special people. and i would love to create some for you too!
sending good wishes and much love to mariah and ed!
