Christine + Greg - Elon University Engagement Session

Christine and Greg are getting married this weekend at King Family Vineyards!  I can't wait!  These two met as undergraduates at Elon University, so when they found out I live only 15 minutes from campus they were super excited to schedule their engagement session there. In early April, they drove down from Virginia and made a weekend of it.  One of their favorite locations at Elon is the fountain in front of the Alamance Building, so we started off there.  Its such a beautiful campus & we had such a great time. And Christine wore burgundy - a school color!

Like me, Christine is also from the Charlottesville area, so we had that connection too. Her family still lives close to where they are having their wedding this weekend & at one of my favorite Virginia vineyards. You can't beat the view there and the weather is going to be sunny and in the low 70's. So excited for these two & looking forward to seeing them again. Stay tuned for a blog post featuring their wedding in the coming months, if not weeks!

Hannah + Leland - Winery & Riverside Engagement Session

A few weeks ago I got together with Hannah & Leland - and their sweet dog, Ramsey, for their engagement session.  We met at my neighbor's vineyard, Grove Winery, for an early morning sunrise session. First starting out by the pond, we then moved into the vineyards which were some of my favorites.  The dew was heavy, but the light was fantastic! As the sun started to come up {and the temperature!} we moved to the river close-by, which is in the shade that time of day, to finish up their super fun session!

Hannah & Leland met while they were both students at George Mason University in Virginia. From there, their love blossomed for one another eventually moving to Charlotte together, and where they reside now. They were a joy to finally meet after corresponding for several months! We look forward to their wedding next spring at Villa de l'Amour - very exciting!

Candace + Jason - Engagement Session

Candace & Jason drove down from Danville, VA early last month for their engagement session. We agreed to meet at Grove Winery on a beautiful, but somewhat chilly afternoon. After several months of corresponding, it sure was a pleasure to finally meet these two! Candace & Jason have been planning their wedding since last fall, after they became engaged while vacationing in Siesta Key, FL.

What a fun afternoon we had the day of their session and I just know their wedding is going to be the same.  Candace and Jason are both naturals in front of the camera. They are clearly crazy about one another and really enjoy each other's company - its so sweet how Jason looks at Candace. I can hardly wait to see them again and photograph their wedding this coming weekend at Sunset Ridge Buffalo Farm!

Many thanks to Haley for coming along as my photo assistant extraordinaire & to my friend and the owner of Grove Winery, Max Lloyd, for allowing us to photograph there on the property. They are great neighbors to have!
