you may remember wendy and kenny from their engagement session this summer out at lake norman. they have been such a fun couple getting to know over the past year. how could it be that its been three months since their wedding?! by any event it was a lovely wedding still fresh in my mind.
my assistant stacia and i started the day out by joining wendy at the hotel while she was getting ready. when it was time for her to depart for the church, wendy joined her sweet grandfather in a gorgeous rolls royce, which was later wendy and kenny's getaway car as well.
many of wendy's relatives, including her parents and grandparents, traveled all the way from venezuela for their wedding. i loved how wendy & kenny included both american and venezuelan traditions at their reception. one was a dance where everyone wore face masks, oversized sunglasses, or festive hats, many with feathers. chris and brian, of triad dj, were on top of things and had the party really going!
we were so honored to be such a big part of wendy & kenny's wedding day. they truly were such a pleasure to work with, as were their families. the wishes are long overdo, but congratulations to the newlyweds!
