engagement session: samantha+kyle 05.30.09

chapel hill was the location for samantha and kyle's e-session this past saturday. it was only fitting, as samantha is a graduate of unc and a big tarheel fan (as you can see from her tattoo!). we started out in the coker arboretum, then to the well on unc's campus, and finished up on franklin street. thanks to my fabulous "reflector gal" lisa of viva photography for all of your help and your wonderful ideas. lisa and i are really looking forward to photographing samantha and kyle's wedding at the penn house in reidsville this coming august. what a fun, fun couple...we just know their wedding is going to be a blast!

betty + austin's chapel hill wedding

Betty and Austin were married April 21st on a beautiful spring day at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Chapel Hill. After the ceremony, Anthony & I took photos of the happy couple and their wedding party in the UNC Arboretum. This particular shot was taken as they were leaving the Arboretum for the reception, photographed with black and white infrared film. The reception was held at Snipes Farm Retreat in a quaint restored dairy barn. What a great wedding and a such a fabulous couple to work with! Congratulations you two!
