A week from today, I will get to see these two again! Its hard to believe Carol Marie & David's wedding was almost two years ago - and even more unbelievable that I never featured their lovely wedding on my blog! Carol Marie & David are expecting their first child in June - a boy. I can't wait to photograph their couple's/maternity session in Richmond. I promise I will feature their session much sooner than I did with their wedding!
On that note, Carol Marie & David's spring wedding was held at a really cool place about 30 minutes outside of downtown Richmond, in the tiny town of Montpelier. An old school house has been restored and turned into an arts & education center there. They have a beautiful rose garden & patio outside which made for the perfect location for their ceremony. And on the inside where the reception was held, there's a spacious light-filled atrium surrounded by a hallway on 3 sides which features local artist's work. Such a great use of space!
Carol Marie & David did a first look which meant we were able to do most of the wedding party and family photos before the ceremony so they could enjoy the cocktail hour too. Then just the two of them joined me in the rose garden at sunset for the golden-hour light. I'm glad they agreed to do this. They slipped away from their reception just long enough to get beautiful images of them together. It was such a fun evening with a great couple. From an amazing dinner to dancing, departing in a sparkler send-off!
