Its never too late to feature one of our gorgeous weddings! Catherine and Johnathon's special day is no exception. Their day started out with me arriving at the O Henry Hotel, where Catherine & the gals prepped for the big day. Jenny arrived at the couple's home where Johnathon and the men were getting ready. We had time at the hotel for some photos of Catherine & her attendants for photos downstairs in the tearoom and sunroom before heading over to the church. Jenny captured some fun ones of Johnathon & his son Uriah and the rest of the guys at the house.
Catherine & Johnathon did not see one another until she entered the sanctuary with her dad at the beginning of the ceremony. But with much planning ahead we had more than enough time between the ceremony and reception for the remaining photos that needed to be done. We had originally planned to take photos of the wedding party in the church's beautiful gardens after the ceremony, however Hurricane Joaquin had other ideas. The wind & rain didn't stop these two from having a beautiful wedding filled with love and laughter!
Because we had planned and were ahead of schedule, Catherine & Johnathon along with their wedding party had enough time for a cocktail together at the hotel in the adjoining bar & restaurant, The Green Valley Grill, before they were introduced at their reception. These two, along with their friends and families, sure do know how to have a good time! What a great party they threw with the help of the DJ's, Chris and his assistant, of Triad DJ. I always love working with this company. They know how to get everyone out on the dance floor - young and young at heart! Which means more opportunities for us to get some fun action shots. I especially love the photo of Johnathon dancing with his mother - not your traditional mother-son's first dance!
Jenny and I truly enjoyed ourselves at this wedding. Such a sweet couple and wonderful families. We wish them many years of happiness!
