Looking back to Maggie & Rusty's wedding, makes me so ready for fall! Their wedding took place last October at the home of Rusty's grandparents in the Raleigh area. It was such a beautiful, magical, & perfect fall day - a warm sunny afternoon and a cool crisp evening. The day started off with preparation photos - me with Maggie and the gals at her house while they got their makeup done & Jenny with Rusty and the guys at his parent's house.
It was such a family-oriented day filled with lots of love & celebration. The couple's one & a half year old twins, Kennady & Bryson, played a big part in their day as well - so sweet! What was really unique about their garden ceremony is that each of their guests had a candle to light. One person would light their candle from the person beside them, with the flame making it's way back to Maggie & Rusty, who lit the unity candle, making their families become one.
After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktails before making their way over to an elegantly decorated tent. The wedding party was introduced, dinner was served, the toasts were made, and the cake was cut. Dancing went well into the late hours - the DJ knew how to read the crowd and keep the dance floor filled all night! This was a fun crowd who knew how to have a good time. Just before midnight, they exited in a sea of sparklers, ending such a wonderful day!
Jenny & I really enjoyed working with Maggie & Rusty and all of the amazing vendors who made their day come together perfectly! It won't be long before Maggie and Rusty will be celebrating their one year anniversary. And somehow I've managed get their wedding on the blog before then! I've been trying to reach a goal by posting all of my 2014 weddings before the couple's first anniversaries - getting there! Keep checking back for more fall & early winter weddings coming soon :)
