king family vineyard wedding: sanja+carter 07.24.10

though it was the hottest weather we've had all summer during sanja and carter's wedding weekend, everyone made the most of it and had a marvelous time. gratefully there was a nice breeze blowing and the sun was starting to set lower on the horizon during the early evening outdoor ceremony at king family vineyards, in virginia's blue ridge mountains. guests also appreciated the wedding programs which doubled as fans, as well as the lemonade and iced tea served during the ceremony to keep them cool.

the carriage house on the property was the perfect setting for their reception and the the a/c was a welcomed treat! the band, horizon, all the way from rock hill, south carolina was fantastic, everyone was out on the dance floor! loved the gorgeous wedding cake created by riki of albemarle baking company and the groom's cake was hilarious! a (sweet) tooth complete with dental tools; carter is in dental school at mcv in richmond, so it was just perfect!

sanja, carter, and their families were so much fun to work with! after months of planning via phone and email with carter's mother, susan, i knew they were going to be such a warm and caring family. i was right on! i'd never met any of them prior, and that says a lot! from sanja's words exactly "carter & i couldn't be happier with all the choices we made for our wedding. i truly believe that everything came together perfectly for our wedding. thank you so much for being a big part of making our day special. carter and i truly enjoyed working with you and lisa, you were both incredible. and we didn't even notice that you all were taking pictures!" wow....that says even more!
