clemmons wedding photographer: amanda+william 12.03.11

though spring is finally here, its never too late to post a beautiful wedding we documented just before christmas. its such a festive time of year to get married, i just love christmas weddings!

amanda and william's late afternoon ceremony was held in their church on december 3rd, which was decorated with wreaths on the front doors, candles in each window, and a sea of beautiful poinsettias on the alter.  four white poinsettias were placed in honor and memory of the couple's grandparents, which was such a sweet touch.

amanda's dress was fabulous! i loved the red accents on her train and along the hemline and top of her dress, very fitting for a christmas wedding. and those red shoes... too cute! it was such a privilege to be able to view her bridal session images prior to her wedding, which were absolutely stunning. my colleague and dear friend stesha, of seed sower images photographed her bridal and engagements, however she was unable to photograph the wedding. my assistant-partner extraordinaire, terry, and i were thrilled for the referral and honored to work with amanda and william on their wedding day. they were wonderful!

a dinner reception was held close by at tanglewood park in the clubhouse. it just so happened the park was decorated for the festival of lights, which was truly impressive, i might add.  we had to follow the wedding party's limo in the back entrance, as a traffic jam had incurred inside the park! because terry was behind the wheel, i was able to take some drive-by photos of the christmas lights as we made our way to the reception.

the ballroom at the clubhouse was beautifully decorated with white twinkling lights and plenty of red and silver sparkles to complete the look of the holidays. visions catering provided a delicious meal with a pleasing presentation and the wedding cake by dewey's bakery was almost too pretty to eat!  chris of triad dj, and his assistant mitch did an amazing job as they always do, by keeping the party going all evening.  everyone had fun and you could just see how much amanda and william were enjoying themselves without any worries.  what a sweet couple!

wedding: katherine+rob 05.02.09

this past saturday, anthony and i headed out to pleasant garden to photograph katherine and rob's late afternoon garden wedding, which was held at walnut lane inn in the rolling countryside of north carolina's piedmont. this was my first time covering a wedding at this particular venue and i was pleasantly surprised by its beauty! the gardens are just amazing, which we took full total advantage of for photo ops. though the weather was threatening rain showers for the day, it held out for the entire wedding.

katherine is so photogenic with her warm smile, it was difficult for me to decide which ones to post of her. here are a just few of my favorites, out of many.

katherine's bouquet was breathtaking and so fragrant! the single black-eyed susan was in memory of her father. such a sweet touch as this was his favorite flower. her mother had one in her corsage as well. flowers created by the super-talented mickey atkinson at sedgefield florist in greensboro.

katherine's fan is a family heirloom and a good way to keep cool!

nothing cuter than flowergirls. here lindsay and avery are looking into the pond for fish. loved their dresses with the purple sashes!

reverend steve horsley performs the ring ceremony.

the kiss!

the kiss continues :-) love the look on rob's face... the very happy groom!

anthony captured this 'aerial' shot of the ceremony from a 2nd floor window. i loved how all the guests turned to wave! fun!

katherine and rob's first dance, music provided by triple C mobile dj service.

the 'second dance' rob dances with his cutey niece, lindsay.

the three-tiered cake was created by dewey's bakery in winston-salem and catering was provided by visions catering. the presentation was nice and the cuisine delicious!

congrats katherine and rob. we had such a wonderful time working with you!
