keswick hall wedding: charlottesville, virginia

today i am sharing a few favorites of a sweet couple who traveled all the way from japan for their lovely destination wedding. close friends and family joined chie {the bride} and hiroshi {the groom} for their intimate wedding ceremony held at the university of virginia chapel in charlottesville, virginia.  an afternoon champagne and cake reception was held at keswick hall, where the couple spent the weekend of their wedding.  

toshi sato of keswick hall made all of the arrangements for chie and hiroshi to come to virginia for their wedding. the newlyweds also spent two weeks traveling throughout the united states on their honeymoon before returning home in early january. 

 when i was a resident of charlottesville,  i was often commissioned by toshi to document destination weddings for japenese couples at keswick hall and it was always such a pleasure working for him. when i moved away almost seven years ago,  i was thrilled to hear that my friend and colleague stephanie, of stephanie gross photography, was working with toshi on a regular basis and to know how much she was enjoying it!

when the time came for chie and hiroshi's december 30th wedding, stephanie knew she would be traveling overseas for the holidays, for a once in a lifetime trip.  she naturally asked me if i was interested in photographing their wedding and i jumped on it!  i knew it would be a fun day, not to mention it was great to see toshi again. chie and hiroshi were such a gracious and appreciative couple as were their friends and family & its always wonderful to work with a great team of fabulous people at keswick hall!
