mateo recently turned one and i was thrilled when his mother, leah, asked me to come photograph him a couple of weeks ago. i've known leah, her mother phyllis, and one of her sisters rebecca for several years now {we all met at shakori hills grassroots festival}. i met mateo last spring for the first time, when he was just about 2 months old and again last fall when he was about 8 months old. he sure has grown since then! mateo is the first grandchild in the family and we just knew his grandparents would love some photos of him too! he's such a happy baby, he smiles and giggles constantly! we took him for a ride in his little red wagon to their neighborhood park with their sweet dog, lucca, on a gorgeous warm march afternoon. it was not only fun following mateo around with a camera, i thoroughly enjoyed spending time with leah too. i look forward to seeing them again at the spring shakori in april, if not sooner!
