what a fun wedding this was! my better half, terry, joined me for the wedding day festivities as we both know the bride's mother and stepfather, tammy and dwayne {they are camping, paddling, and festival-going friends}. i was so honored when tammy and dwayne asked me to come photograph their daughter nicole's wedding this past september. many of our friends were at this wedding, including the members of the band. so much fun! i was able to capture all of their memories with terry's help and really enjoy myself at the reception, while keeping my camera close-by just in case.
the location where they had the reception was fabulous! it was held out in the countryside on the family's farm in bethany, north carolina. they have a beautiful reconstructed log cabin on the premises, a pond, and of course a rustic old barn, which was the perfect setting for the wedding party photos. although the weather was fabulous the day of nicole and cody's wedding, as a precaution they set up a large tent on the property where tables & chairs, a dance floor, and the band were. the caterers set up a 2-sided buffet line, which was inside one of the outbuildings, such a excellent idea. i loved how one of the canoes was utilized as a "cooler" to keep wine, beer, and sodas chilled! it was nice in that i got to sit down with terry and friends, listen to some great music, and enjoy some amazing food. even danced a little! it's late coming, but congratulations to the happy couple, nicole "niki" and cody, and a happy new year to all!
