laura & christian's wedding was held on a balmy november afternoon in one of my favorite places, keswick vineyards. laura had such a timeless look about her, her gown was so elegant with a victorian look to it. i absolutely loved her birdcage veil and her gold sparkly shoes {and their daughter, who was also flower girl got to wear a matching pair!}. christian looked handsome in his off-white jacket, brown trousers, bow tie & suspenders.
the bridesmaids wore a gorgeous shade of emerald green & the groomsmen wore tan & brown plaid jackets with leather elbow patches, brown slacks, & suspenders. jenny and i overheard the guys saying when they heard the news of the couple's engagement, they knew they'd get to wear the cool plaid jackets! the guys also got to wear "special" socks - be sure to take a closer look at them in the photo below!
the couple exchanged their vows under an arbor decorated with such gorgeous flowers. the scenic views of the vineyards & the mountains in the distance, still blanketed in fall color, made for a nice backdrop. laura & christian did a wine box ceremony which was only fitting with their wedding festivities being held at a vineyard. i think this is such a great idea too!
after the ceremony was over, once the wedding party & family photos were complete, i joined cindy the owner at the vineyards & the couple for photo ops around the property which is always a treat. jenny joined the guests for the cocktail hour to take some candids of the guests and of the gorgeous venue & all of the details they put their heart into. i loved the Russian nesting dolls incorporating christian's family heritage into the decor.
dinner and dancing were held under the big tent. the food was incredible, barbara of barb wired & her team kept everything running smoothly throughout the evening, and the dj rick haggard always knows how to throw a good party. rather than a wedding cake the couple chose to cut & feed one another a donut from the carpe donut truck, which they had there onsite. jenny and i agreed this is one of the coolest things we've seen at a wedding!
the couple's daughter brielle played a big part in their day too. i loved how her highchair was placed at the sweetheart table with her parents - so, so cute! and on that note, the happy couple just welcomed their second daughter, baby girl malina, born on august 31st. congratulations to the entire family including the proud grandparents!
laura & christian's wedding was the last of 2013 for me - and what a great way to close out the year. stay tuned for our 2014 weddings coming soon - its been another busy season and we haven't even gotten through fall & the holidays yet!
