its never too late to post a wedding. as i write this on a chilly january morning, i think back to one of the hottest days of 2012. it was 104 degrees that day, even in the higher elevations of charlottesville.
despite the soaring temperatures, tanima and enamul couldn't have had a more beautiful wedding. they'd chosen the university of virginia for their festivities as they are both graduate students there. originally, they had planned to have their ceremony in garden x within the university's academical village. however, the morning of they decided to have it at the inn, where the reception was also held. always good to have a weather back-up plan!
tanima and enamul are both originally from bangladesh & incorporated many of their eastern style traditions into their wedding day. from the gorgeous red and gold sari worn by tanima to the henna, which her friends painted on her hands. tanima was stunning! enamul, looking handsome, wore a white kurta with a vibrant red scarf.
many of my favorite images of the day are those of tanima and enamul alone. once the reception was underway, the three of us slipped away to the university's lawn, which is very close to the inn. the light was incredible as the sun started to set & it finally cooled down somewhat. i'm so glad they made time for this!
tanima and enamul were such a sweet couple, who are very much in love. it will be a wedding to remember!
