mother-daughter session

earlier this week, i met up with nicole and her daughter, ruby in charlottesville, virginia. nicole, a designer and artist, was one of my winners for a contest i held last spring on my blog for a free lifestyle family or engagement portrait session. i may be offering another contest in the future, so all of my blog followers and facebook fans out there, keep checking back regularly!!

nicole, ruby, and I have been trying to get together since the winners were announced on my blog in june 2009. due to crazy schedules and planning around the weather, we finally nailed down a date.

and nicole and ruby's session was great fun! we started off in mcguffey park on the playground, then we took a little walk on the downtown mall, and ended up at splendora's for some gelato. it was a glorious, warm and sunny afternoon in a casual environment doing what kids enjoy doing! and who doesn't LOVE gelato!! thanks nicole, for treating, i will work for gelato anytime!
